Scissors by a Company Founded in 1876

These Japanese-made scissors are produced by a company founded in 1876. They measure 126 mm in length and weigh only 25 grams.

Before shipping, I carefully remove the factory-applied machine oil using a 100% plant-based soap. I then apply a thin coat of 100% plant-based choji oil, made by a company founded in 1661. Long used to protect Japanese swords from rust, it is widely regarded as one of the finest traditional choji oils in Japan.

Bring the scissors gently to your nose, and you will notice the subtle scent of choji oil.

When scissors are designed only to be small, and have no proper grips, they can leave your fingers aching each time you use them. A tool is not good simply because it is small. It becomes a good tool when it performs its purpose naturally and comfortably in your hand.
