The one I make, however, consists of just three parts: a flange nut made by a Japanese company founded in 1923, and a bolt and nut made by a Japanese company founded in 1959.

I like to use around 240-grit sandpaper to remove the burrs and lightly roughen the surface. I like the character it gives the metal.
