Scissors

These scissors are made by a Japanese company founded in 1876.

Before sending them to you, I wash away the original machine oil using soap made entirely from plant-based ingredients.

I then apply a traditional Japanese oil made from camellia oil and clove, produced by a company founded in 1661.

This oil has long been used to protect Japanese swords from rust and is regarded as one of Japan’s finest rust-preventive oils.

When the scissors arrive, bring them close and take a moment to smell them.

That subtle fragrance is the scent of the oil that has protected Japanese swords for generations.

Small scissors are better with proper finger grips. Without them, the bare metal quickly begins to hurt your fingers.

However, these scissors are very small, so people with large hands should be careful. If you force your fingers into the grips, you may break them surprisingly easily.

I broke one of mine too, and I still use it exactly as it is.

But if your fingers do not fit through the holes at all, there is nothing more I can do for you.

Accept that these scissors were not meant for your hands, and give them to someone else.
